The objective of the university class 'presentation of a font' was to analyze a randomly assigned font carefully and create a key visual that is presented coherently throughout a poster, a folder, and the design of a presentation.
I drew the font 'Neutral' by Kai Bernau. He created the font by calculating the arithmetical average of 10 other fonts that are widely recognized as being neutral in order to create a font that is free of all connotations and doesn't take anything away from the content of the text that is written with the font. I imagined this process by displaying 10 different sperm cells containing the letter 'e' of one of the 10 neutral fonts coming together in an ovum.
This key visual was to be shown on a DIN A2 Poster, a DIN A4 Folder (which contains further details about the font and its designer), and a presentation that each student held, explaining one's concept and some fun facts about the font.
